Senior Mechanical (Rotating Equipment) Engineer

About the role

Bechtel is launching its newest Energy office in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia and is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer specialized in rotating equipment. The role will support transformative oil, gas, chemical and new‑energies projects that align with Saudi Vision 2030, working alongside global experts to deliver high‑impact engineering solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with international teams to deliver rotating‑equipment projects across oil, gas, chemical and new‑energy sectors.
• Provide mechanical design and engineering support for compressors, turbines, pumps and related rotating machinery.
• Participate in all project phases from planning and detailed design through start‑up and commissioning.
• Help build a high‑performance, on‑site team for the new Al Khobar Energy office.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards such as API and ASME for rotating packaged equipment.

Required profile

• At least 120 months (10 years) of experience in rotating‑equipment engineering.
• Proven background in oil, gas, chemical or new‑energy projects.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Al Khobar.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
