Senior MEP Design Engineer - Water

About the role

Parsons is seeking a Senior MEP Design Engineer – Water to lead the design, coordination and technical delivery of water‑related MEP systems on complex building and infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia. The role ensures that all designs are compliant with local codes, international standards and client expectations while being cost‑effective and sustainable.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design of potable water, irrigation, storm‑water, wastewater, fire water, and associated utility systems.
• Prepare and review design calculations, technical reports, drawings, specifications and schedules.
• Conduct hydraulic assessments and size water supply and drainage networks.
• Coordinate with architects, civil, structural engineers, utility providers, authorities and contractors.
• Resolve clashes and interface issues between water systems and other disciplines.
• Support BIM coordination and design integration activities.
• Participate in design workshops, technical reviews and interdisciplinary meetings.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements and technical queries.
• Assist with permitting, authority approvals and compliance documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum of 8 years (96 months) of experience in MEP water systems design.
• Proven ability to lead design teams and coordinate multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong understanding of local authority requirements and international design codes.
