Senior Operations Manager - Airports

About the role

The Senior Operations Manager will lead the airport operations portfolio, ensuring contractual commitments are met and the business unit’s strategic objectives are achieved. This role supports both the division and KSA business unit strategy while driving commercial and contractual excellence across projects.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to division and KSA business unit strategy development.
• Provide specialist input on commercial and contractual administration for claims, variations, and contract close‑out.
• Deliver the Operations Management strategy for the asset portfolio.
• Lead the Operations team in KSA, set objectives, manage performance and develop staff.
• Assist project teams with technical evaluation of engineering requirements, focusing on contractual/commercial aspects.
• Define an optimal division structure to maximize resource utilization and communication.
• Control project activities within approved budgets, identify deficiencies and recommend solutions to the board.
• Recommend and monitor the Operations unit budget, track financial performance and identify cost‑reduction opportunities.
• Plan and allocate resources, implement standards and controls to exceed objectives.
• Discuss side‑specific budgets with customers, advise on CAPEX, cost‑reduction and asset feasibility.
• Manage policy, guideline and process improvements for contract management and administration.
• Oversee contract scope revisions, renewals, pricing, negotiations and coordination with Legal.

Required profile

• Significant experience in airport operations or related infrastructure management.
• Proven ability to lead and develop large operational teams.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience in contract administration and budgeting.
• Excellent analytical skills to assess project performance and recommend improvements.
• Ability to work closely with senior leadership and board members.
