Senior Pharmacist

About the role

The Senior Pharmacist will supervise and direct pharmacy staff to provide professional, safe and timely pharmaceutical services in a hospital outpatient setting. The role ensures compliance with Fakeeh Care policies, accreditation standards and medication‑safety best practices while supporting continuous improvement and automation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and schedule pharmacy staff to maintain smooth operations, especially during peak hours.
• Ensure medication verification and dispensing meet established timeframes and safety standards.
• Monitor inventory of narcotic and controlled drugs each shift and manage expired medicines.
• Develop and implement quality‑assurance and process‑improvement projects for pharmacy automation systems.
• Act as subject‑matter expert for automated storage and retrieval devices, coordinating maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback and promote staff development.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments and preventive measures when applicable.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in a hospital pharmacy, including at least 2 years in an outpatient setting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or higher.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage pharmacy operations.
