Senior Planning/Scheduling Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Planning/Scheduling Engineer to join our Site Supervision team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The role supports major transport, roads, and infrastructure utilities projects through the construction supervision phase, ensuring delivery aligns with contractual requirements and project objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Review, analyse and validate contractor baseline programmes and schedule submissions.
• Monitor construction progress against approved schedules, identify deviations, risks and recovery opportunities.
• Assess contractor resource allocation, productivity trends and schedule performance.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards and executive schedule summaries.
• Conduct schedule impact assessments, delay analyses and extension‑of‑time evaluations.
• Verify contractors' look‑ahead programmes and recovery schedules.
• Support Resident Engineers and Project Managers with planning recommendations.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary supervision teams covering roads, utilities, traffic and infrastructure works.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of professional experience in planning and scheduling, primarily in consultancy and supervision environments.
• Extensive experience delivering transport, roads, highways and infrastructure utilities projects in Saudi Arabia.
• Strong site‑supervision consultancy background on large‑scale government or municipal programmes.
• Fluent English; Arabic language skills are advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and other project planning software.
• Strong knowledge of delay analysis methodologies and EOT (Extension of Time) assessments.
• Experience with project controls practices and reviewing contractor programmes.
• Excellent reporting, analytical and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Professional certifications such as PMP or PSP are preferred.
