Senior Principal - Data Engineering

About the role

The Senior Principal will provide specialized expertise in designing and implementing enterprise‑scale Data Lakehouse capabilities, ensuring technical excellence, reducing delivery risks, and accelerating platform adoption across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead the Data Lakehouse architecture strategy aligned with business, analytics, and technology objectives.
• Maintain and enrich the enterprise data catalog to improve discoverability and keep metadata accurate.
• Lead development of scalable data pipelines and establish standards for ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and integration.
• Define performance‑optimization strategies for large‑scale data processing workloads and drive capacity planning.
• Establish engineering standards, frameworks and best practices ensuring governance, security and compliance.
• Enable platforms for business intelligence, advanced analytics, AI and machine‑learning initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship and capability development for data engineering teams.
• Lead technical aspects of the Data Lakehouse program, identify risks and develop mitigation plans.

Required profile

• Minimum 10–12 years of experience in data engineering, big‑data platforms, data architecture or related domains.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems or a related discipline.
