Senior Procurement Manager

About the role

The Senior Procurement Manager will shape and execute the organisation's procurement strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. This senior position leads a high‑performing team and works closely with cross‑functional partners to secure optimal commercial outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies, category plans and sourcing road‑maps.
• Oversee all procurement and contracting activities, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures and Delegation of Authority.
• Review and approve complex requisitions, tender strategies, commercial evaluations, negotiation outcomes and award recommendations.
• Drive closure of internal and external audit observations and strengthen controls.
• Provide expert guidance to senior stakeholders on best practices, risk mitigation, commercial structuring and compliance.
• Lead negotiations with key suppliers and contractors to achieve optimal terms.
• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Technical and other functions to align contractual, financial and operational requirements.
• Champion continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance governance, efficiency, digitalisation and process maturity.
• Manage, mentor and develop the procurement team, building capability and performance.
• Monitor supplier performance, market trends and commercial risks to support strategic decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Law or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 15 years of progressive procurement, contracts or commercial experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Advanced analytical, negotiation and advisory capabilities.
• High attention to detail with a compliance and risk‑management mindset.
• Proven ability to drive transformation and manage cross‑functional initiatives.
