Senior Production Engineer

About the role

The Senior Production Engineer will evaluate and improve manufacturing processes for control cabinets, ensuring safety, compliance and high quality. The role involves designing research programs, collaborating with technicians and partners, and leading continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, modify and maintain manufacturing of control cabinets.
• Initiate and develop solutions to yield‑impacting problems.
• Apply Lean methodologies to eliminate non‑value‑added operations and reduce cost.
• Conduct industrial engineering activities such as time studies, line layout and capacity studies.
• Maintain accurate manufacturing documentation and cabinet books.
• Provide technical support and training for technicians.
• Lead cross‑functional groups on engineering and manufacturing issues.
• Use statistical and problem‑solving tools to resolve production challenges.
• Generate integration and assembly schedules, progress reports and maintain BOM/drawings.
• Coordinate material ordering, logistics, planning, procurement and quality activities.
• Support Pre‑FAT/FAT testing and power‑up of cabinets.
• Maintain project execution in Oracle through to sales order closure.

Required profile

• College/University degree in Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation (graduate degree a plus).
• 5–10 years of experience in control‑cabinet manufacturing, quality and project execution.
• Advanced English proficiency; additional languages are a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage with senior stakeholders.

Required skills

• Control cabinet manufacturing and quality assurance.
• DeltaV hardware experience.
• Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) support.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Oracle.
• Lean manufacturing methodologies.
• Industrial engineering tools such as time study, line layout and capacity analysis.
