Senior Safety Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Safety Specialist to lead our Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) programs while overseeing the safe operation of our transportation fleet. The role combines strategic HSSE leadership with hands‑on fleet management to ensure compliance, operational excellence, and employee well‑being.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, monitor and continuously improve HSSE policies, inspections and risk assessments in line with ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and local regulations.
• Lead incident investigations, produce reports and drive corrective actions.
• Design and deliver HSSE training to foster a proactive safety culture.
• Oversee daily transportation operations, route planning, vehicle allocation and cost‑efficient fleet performance.
• Track vehicle usage, fuel consumption, maintenance schedules and associated costs.
• Manage vendor contracts and relationships for transportation services.
• Ensure compliance with GACA, SBC, NFPA and other regulatory bodies.
• Support facilities management in emergency preparedness and conduct regular safety audits.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of HSSE standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001) and regulatory requirements.
• Proven experience in fleet and transportation management.
• Excellent leadership, communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage risk, conduct investigations and implement corrective actions.
