Senior Scheduling / Planning Engineer

About the role

Penspen, a leading energy services firm with over 65 years of experience, is looking for a Senior Scheduling / Planning Engineer to join its PMS project in Khafji, Saudi Arabia. The incumbent will be accountable for managing the project controls team, delivering project control support to the Project Management group, and reviewing early‑stage deliverables (FEL1/FEL2) with a focus on cost, schedule and risk.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the project controls team across multiple oil and gas projects.
• Provide project control support to the Project Management team, ensuring accurate scheduling and budgeting.
• Review FEL1 and FEL2 deliverables, assessing cost, schedule and risk aspects.
• Coordinate with procurement and engineering teams to align schedules and budgets.
• Monitor project performance against baselines and report variances to senior management.

Required profile

• Minimum 14 years of experience, including at least 10 years in project management, planning, scheduling, cost estimation and budget control for major oil & gas projects.
• Engineering, construction or project management degree.
• Proven experience with various contracting types and project execution strategies.
• Strong knowledge of schedule and cost benchmarking for upstream oil & gas projects.
