Senior Software Engineering Expert – Digital Platforms (Catalog)

About the role

Qiddiya Digital is looking for a senior individual contributor to take technical ownership of its Digital Platforms Catalog domain. The role combines hands‑on engineering with technical leadership, ensuring the platform is resilient, secure and fully under Qiddiya’s control.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain target architecture, engineering standards and technical roadmap for the catalog domain.
• Provide end‑to‑end technical ownership from design through production, including release planning and incident management.
• Lead and challenge vendor engineering teams, reviewing architecture, APIs, data models, code quality and major technical decisions.
• Validate vendor deliverables against clear acceptance criteria and measurable evidence.
• Ensure solutions meet resilience, reliability, scalability, security, observability and cost‑efficiency goals.
• Define and monitor technical KPIs, SLAs, availability, latency and recovery targets.
• Maintain architecture documentation, runbooks and support procedures, and drive knowledge transfer to internal teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
• Extensive experience in senior engineering roles such as Lead, Staff, Principal Engineer or Technical Lead.
• Proven track record designing and operating large‑scale, distributed, cloud‑native platforms.
• Experience with customer‑facing digital products such as commerce, payments, loyalty, identity, ticketing or mobile.
• Deep understanding of APIs, microservices, event‑driven architecture, data consistency and failure recovery.
