Senior Structural / Bridges Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Structural / Bridges Engineer with at least 12 years of bridge engineering experience, focusing on steel bridge design, site supervision and delivery of major transportation and urban infrastructure projects. The role will support the RCRC Bridges Program in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, handling planning, design, technical coordination, construction supervision and delivery of complex bridge and highway works.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design, analysis and delivery of steel bridge structures from concept through detailed design and construction close‑out.
• Develop innovative engineering solutions for complex urban transportation corridors and highway networks.
• Coordinate bridge designs with multidisciplinary teams including highways, utilities, traffic, drainage and geotechnical disciplines.
• Perform structural analysis, design calculations, technical reviews and independent design verification.
• Provide construction support, respond to technical queries, review shop drawings, method statements and material submittals.
• Conduct site inspections, monitor construction activities and ensure compliance with specifications, quality and safety standards.
• Review contractor submissions and oversee erection, launching, rehabilitation, strengthening and maintenance works.
• Ensure compliance with client requirements, Saudi regulations and international standards such as AASHTO and Eurocodes.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of bridge engineering experience, with significant exposure to steel bridge design and construction supervision.
• Proven experience on major urban transportation and highway projects in Riyadh or other GCC cities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred); professional chartership desirable.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and technical leadership abilities.
