Senior Structural Engineer – Viaducts

About the role

The Senior Structural Engineer – Viaducts will lead the structural design and engineering team for a major rail project in Riyadh. Reporting to the Lead Civil Design Manager, the role covers feasibility studies, preliminary detailed engineering, and oversight of rail, at‑ground structures and stations. The position requires strong technical expertise, client‑facing communication and the ability to ensure quality and schedule compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of structural engineers and inspectors in the design, analysis, and detailing of viaducts and related rail infrastructure.
• Review feasibility studies and produce preliminary detailed engineering deliverables for rail, at‑ground structures and stations.
• Monitor project schedule, quality of deliverables and compliance with engineering standards and codes.
• Implement and synchronize structural engineering practices and standards across the program.
• Represent the design division in client meetings and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years (144 months) of experience in structural engineering for heavy civil and rail projects.
• Proven leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, with strong client‑management experience.
• Ability to ensure compliance with engineering standards and codes.
