Senior Suspension Engineer

About the role

Lucid is seeking a Senior Suspension Engineer to lead and support suspension structural systems across vehicle launch, production ramp‑up, and series manufacturing. The role serves as the primary plant engineering focal point for knuckles, control arms, subframes, links, bushings, wheel carriers and related chassis components, ensuring quality, safety, durability, NVH performance and manufacturing efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the plant technical expert for front/rear knuckles, control arms, suspension links, subframes, cross‑members, brackets, mounts, bushings and compliant joints.
• Investigate and resolve build, fit‑up, dimensional, durability, corrosion and quality issues; lead root‑cause analysis for manufacturing, supplier and field problems.
• Implement containment actions and drive permanent corrective actions to minimise downtime.
• Support prototype, DV, PV and production vehicle builds; coordinate engineering change releases and plant implementation plans.
• Track launch issues, ensure timely closure and support vehicle build events and launch reviews.
• Perform dimensional variation analysis and drive build‑quality improvement activities.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in suspension structural engineering within the automotive industry.
• Proven ability to provide technical leadership and hands‑on support throughout product launch and series production.
• Strong collaboration skills with design, CAE, manufacturing, quality, supplier quality, purchasing and plant operations teams.
• Demonstrated track record of rapid issue resolution and continuous improvement in a high‑volume manufacturing environment.
