Senior Technical Engineer – MEP

About the role

Group AMANA is seeking a proactive Senior Technical Engineer to lead mechanical design review and coordination for projects in the Dammam region. The role involves ensuring compliance with project requirements, codes, and client expectations while providing technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead review and validation of mechanical designs, calculations, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Develop, review, and approve detailed design drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, and engineering deliverables.
• Coordinate with the BIM team for model updates, clash resolution, and multidisciplinary integration.
• Review and approve third‑party designs for compatibility with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines.
• Prepare and issue IFP/IFF, shop drawings, and SFC drawings in line with project schedules.
• Perform engineering calculations and design reviews to ensure constructability of mechanical systems.
• Provide technical support to site and construction teams, including site visits and issue resolution.
• Mentor junior engineers and maintain accurate engineering records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in mechanical engineering and MEP coordination on industrial, commercial, or large‑scale construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire‑protection systems.
• Good understanding of Saudi regulations and international standards such as ASHRAE, SMACNA, and NFPA.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
• Experience with BIM coordination processes.
• Technical expertise in HVAC, plumbing, and fire‑protection system design.
• Familiarity with ASHRAE, SMACNA, and NFPA standards.
