Senior Technical Office Engineer

About the role

Bayut, a property portal in the Kingdom and part of Dubizzle Group, is hiring a Senior Technical Office Engineer in Riyadh. The role manages cost control, tendering, contract administration and financial coordination across development projects, ensuring commercial accuracy and contractual compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review BOQs, cost estimates and tender documents.
• Carry out technical and financial evaluation of contractor quotations.
• Manage contractor payments, invoices, claims and variation orders.
• Prepare project cash flow forecasts and cost control reports.
• Coordinate between consultants, contractors and internal teams.
• Review shop drawings and ensure they align with specifications.
• Monitor project budgets and forecast financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with contractual and cost control procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• Certification in contracts or cost management preferred.
• 8-12 years of experience in technical office, cost control or quantity surveying roles.
• Experience in commercial, residential and villa projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of contracts, tendering and cost control systems.
• Familiarity with FIDIC and contractual frameworks.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Excel and cost control software.
• Ability to interpret contractual clauses and assess commercial risks.
• Strong analytical and financial evaluation skills.
• Strong coordination and negotiation skills.
