Senior Treasury Specialist

About the role

The Senior Treasury Specialist will manage liquidity, trade finance, and risk mitigation for Saudi Gold Refinery's integrated mining and refining operations in Riyadh. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the role safeguards financial assets and enhances treasury efficiency to support strategic growth.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain 13‑week cash flow forecasts aligned with production and exploration plans.
• Structure and manage letters of credit and bank guarantees for import of dore bars and export of bullion.
• Execute FX hedging strategies using forwards and options to protect profit margins.
• Maintain relationships with local and international banks to secure financing terms and liquidity.
• Ensure compliance with SAMA anti‑money‑laundering regulations and internal audit requirements.
• Coordinate monthly reconciliations between physical bullion inventory and treasury ledgers.
• Generate weekly liquidity reports and dashboards for senior management.
• Identify and implement automation in bank reconciliations and payment processing.
• Provide documentation and support for internal and external treasury audits.
• Supervise junior treasury analysts and enforce segregation of duties.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics.
• Minimum 7 years of corporate treasury experience, preferably in mining or commodities.
• Proven experience with trade finance instruments such as letters of credit and bank guarantees.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) AML and CTF regulations.
• Professional certification (CTP, CFA, ACCA) strongly preferred.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for financial modeling and dashboard creation.
• Experience with SAP Treasury or Oracle Financials modules in a multi‑currency environment.
• Hands‑on expertise in foreign exchange hedging instruments (forwards, options).
• Trade finance execution including letters of credit and bank guarantees.
