Senior Vice President, Finance Officer

About the role

BNY Mellon is seeking a Senior Vice President, Finance Officer to join its Corporate Controllers team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Key responsibilities

• Responsible for the finance function of three Saudi entities: BNY Mellon Saudi Financial Co, The Eagle entity, and the Saudi Regional HQ entity.
• Finance functional responsibility for the Group’s branches in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
• Lead and oversee end‑to‑end accounting, regulatory reporting and tax reporting operations, guide offshore analysts, perform technical reviews, execute complex general‑ledger transactions and audits, and maintain global control compliance.
• Serve as the main finance point of contact for external professional firms such as PwC and KPMG for Middle Eastern entities.
• Drive exception analysis, process improvements, ad‑hoc requests and deliver strategic financial reporting recommendations to senior leadership and the board.
• Collaborate with regional and global leaders to review and approve process enhancements and training materials, providing statutory and regulatory guidance for special projects.
• Provide accounting expertise, advise stakeholders, design and implement reporting and accounting policies and procedures, and authorize entries to support financial planning and reporting.
• Identify and report risks or recurring issues, collaborate with teams to resolve them, escalate major risks to senior management, and guide analysts in risk detection.
