Service Operator – Hydraulic Work Over

About the role

Under direct supervision, the Service Operator for Hydraulic Work Over (HWO) supports field operations by preparing, operating, and maintaining specialized equipment used in well control and hydraulic services. The role involves safety‑focused activities, equipment rigging, and collaboration with peers to ensure efficient service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and lead safety meetings.
• Rig up and down HWO service line equipment and assemble equipment for installation.
• Perform pre‑ and post‑job inspections of HWO equipment.
• Operate high‑pressure fluid pumps, flow‑back packages, and HWO support equipment.
• Execute hydrostatic testing on Blow Out Prevention (BOP) systems and perform preventative maintenance.
• Operate counter‑balance winch, BOP console, and HWO jack under supervision.
• Drive trucks or assigned vehicles as required.
• Mentor peers and train Operator Assistants.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 months experience as an Operator Assistant II.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (may be required).
• Completion of essential math, Red Book, and HWO I training.
• Basic reading, writing, and computer skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
