Shift Charge Engineer – Reverse Osmosis Plant

About the role

We are looking for a Shift Charge Engineer to lead the operation of our Reverse Osmosis (RO) desalination plant in Jubail. The role is responsible for overseeing all plant activities during the assigned shift, ensuring safe start‑up and shut‑down and maintaining high performance in line with approved procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the RO plant safely and efficiently throughout the shift.
• Execute start‑up and shut‑down procedures according to Standard Operating Procedures.
• Monitor plant performance and adhere to quality standards, time schedules and operating requirements.
• Comply with all safety rules, identify hazards and ensure a safe working environment.
• Follow plant O&M agreements, P&IDs, SOPs, work instructions, control logics and emergency operation procedures.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and relevant documentation.

Required profile

• Familiarity with plant operation and maintenance documentation (O&M agreements, P&IDs, SOPs).
• Understanding of safety regulations and ability to work safely in an industrial environment.
• Experience with shift work in a water desalination or similar industrial setting.

Required skills

• Operation of Reverse Osmosis (RO) desalination plants.
• Interpretation of P&IDs and SOPs.
• Knowledge of plant control logics and emergency procedures.
• Awareness of regulatory and safety requirements for water treatment facilities.
