Shift In Charge - Tissue Manufacturing

About the role

Careers International is recruiting experienced Shift In Charges to oversee shift operations in a tissue manufacturing facility in Jeddah. The role ensures production efficiency, product quality and compliance with industrial safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage shift operations in the tissue manufacturing plant.
• Monitor tissue machine performance and maintain production quality according to established tissue quality standards.
• Monitor machine parameters, stock preparation and tissue formation processes, and ensure optimal operation of tissue machines, Yankee dryers, shoe presses and related systems.
• Identify production issues and coordinate corrective actions to minimise downtime.
• Ensure compliance with industrial safety procedures, including LOTO.
• Coordinate with production, maintenance and quality control teams to achieve production targets.
• Maintain shift reports and ensure proper handover between shifts.

Required profile

• 3-5 years of experience in tissue manufacturing, including shift management in a supervisory role.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, B.Sc. in Chemistry, or a Bachelor's in Paper Technology (outside the MENA region).
• Preferred: experience with high-speed tissue machines running at 1,800-2,000 MPM, with Crescent Former machines, stock preparation and headbox formation geometry.
• Preferred: experience with Valmet, Andritz or Toscotec machines.

Required skills

• Knowledge of shoe press technology, Yankee dryers, cogeneration and dual hood systems.
• Good understanding of tissue quality standards such as softness, moisture, sheet strength, formation and bulk.
• Strong knowledge of industrial safety standards, NEBOSH principles and LOTO procedures.

• Monthly gross salary of SAR 8,000-10,000.
