Site MEP Engineer

About the role

CLEAR is seeking an experienced Site MEP Engineer to oversee and coordinate all Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) works across the construction lifecycle. The engineer ensures installations follow approved drawings, project specifications, codes, quality standards and schedules, working with consultants, contractors and multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor MEP works on site against approved drawings, specifications and contract requirements.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements and technical documentation.
• Coordinate MEP activities with civil, structural and architectural disciplines to avoid clashes.
• Conduct regular site inspections and monitor contractor performance against schedule and milestones.
• Resolve technical issues and ensure compliance with local regulations, international codes, health and safety and QA/QC procedures.
• Witness testing, commissioning and functional performance of MEP systems; prepare inspection requests, testing reports, snag lists and close-out documentation.
• Participate in coordination meetings, review as-built drawings and evaluate variations and change orders.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, approvals and site activities, and support commissioning and handover.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or MEP Engineering.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience supervising MEP works on construction projects.
• Experience in commercial, residential, industrial or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical power, lighting and low-current systems.
• Familiarity with local and international building codes and MEP standards; professional engineering registration preferred.

Required skills

• AutoCAD, Revit MEP and Navisworks.
• Ability to review coordinated MEP drawings, BIM models, shop drawings and submittals.
• Knowledge of testing, commissioning, QA/QC and inspection processes.
• Project management and document control software experience is an advantage.
