Site Supervisor

About the role

The Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all landscape works on the assigned project site. This includes directing foremen and planting teams to ensure that soft‑scape, hard‑scape and site furniture are installed according to approved drawings, programme schedules and maintenance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan weekly and daily landscape activities against the project programme.
• Interpret landscape drawings and issue clear work instructions for foremen.
• Coordinate landscape works with irrigation, civil and utility activities.
• Supervise setting out, pit preparation and planting of trees, shrubs and groundcovers.
• Verify plant material against specifications before planting.
• Monitor watering, staking and protection of newly planted material.
• Oversee soil preparation, mulching and turf installation.
• Manage installation of site furniture, edging and hard‑scape elements.
• Check levels, alignment and finish against drawings before inspection.
• Estimate and request required plants, soil, mulch and other materials.
• Control material consumption and minimise waste.
• Allocate manpower and track tools and equipment issued to teams.
• Enforce PPE use and safe chemical handling.
• Apply summer working arrangements such as midday work bans and hydration provisions.
• Report daily progress, manpower and site issues to the Project Manager.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of landscape execution experience, including at least 2 years supervising teams on project sites.
• Diploma in horticulture, landscape or agriculture from an accredited institute.

Required skills

• Reading landscape drawings, planting plans and details.
• Planting, soil preparation and turf installation techniques.
• Hard‑scape edging and site furniture installation.
