SMP Supervisor – Construction & Installation

About the role

In this role you will monitor and organize subcontractor planning, safety, quality, and technical activities on a complex project with multiple stakeholders. Your field supervision will ensure operations align with established schedules and that work methods are executed safely.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise structural steel, mechanical equipment, piping, HVAC, and crane installation activities in accordance with project specifications, approved drawings, and applicable codes and standards.
• Supervise structural steel erection, including receiving, laydown, pre‑assembly, erection sequencing, temporary stability, survey verification and final installation of columns, beams, bracing, platforms and related components.
• Oversee installation, alignment and commissioning of static and rotating mechanical equipment such as crushers, SAG mills, ball mills, conveyors, pumps and gearboxes.
• Manage piping installation activities, including material control, spool fit‑up, supports, valves, flange management, field welding, testing and turnover readiness.
• Coordinate heavy lifting, rigging and erection operations using cranes, strand jacks, hydraulic gantries and other specialized lifting systems.

Required profile

• Mechanical bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) with 8‑10 years of relevant experience (or 12‑14 years of relevant work experience).
• Ability to perform extensive field inspections within active construction environments.
• Capability to work in hot and humid climatic conditions typical of Middle East construction projects.
