Software Craftsperson – TypeScript II (Remote, Saudi Arabia)

About the role

This is a remote opportunity for a hands‑on software engineer with 3–6 years of experience building scalable, production‑grade systems. You’ll take ownership across the software development lifecycle, from system design and implementation through testing and production readiness. The role combines strong TypeScript engineering with modern AI and LLM technologies, including agentic workflows and AI‑powered applications.

Key responsibilities

• Own complex software initiatives end‑to‑end, from design and implementation through testing, production readiness, and ongoing improvement.
• Build and maintain scalable, reliable backend systems and APIs using TypeScript while applying software craftsmanship principles.
• Develop AI‑powered applications and workflows leveraging LLMs, AI agents, and modern AI tooling such as OpenAI and Claude.
• Identify technical and product risks beyond the immediate scope and proactively drive appropriate solutions.
• Mentor fellow engineers, share knowledge, and help shape engineering practices and AI‑native development workflows.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of professional software engineering experience delivering production‑grade systems.
• Strong hands‑on experience with TypeScript in a backend context.
• Practical experience building AI‑ or LLM‑powered applications, including AI agents and agentic workflows.
• Solid understanding of REST and/or gRPC APIs, relational databases, and performance optimisation.
• Experience with Test‑Driven Development, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and Agile/Extreme Programming practices.
