Software Engineer – Peer-to-Peer (P2P)

About the role

We are seeking a Software Engineer specialized in peer‑to‑peer (P2P) technologies to join a cutting‑edge team developing decentralized search and networking solutions. You will design and build resilient, high‑performance systems that operate without centralized infrastructure, enabling secure and private digital experiences at global scale.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain next‑generation P2P infrastructure supporting decentralized search capabilities.
• Build scalable, reliable distributed systems and networking solutions using Node.js.
• Implement and optimise peer‑to‑peer protocols, including connection management, encryption, and NAT traversal.
• Develop distributed indexing mechanisms based on advanced research concepts such as Kademlia DHTs and CRDTs.
• Collaborate with engineers and researchers to translate emerging technologies into production‑ready software.

Required profile

• Hands‑on engineer with strong experience in distributed systems and networking.
• Professional background developing backend software with Node.js.
• Passion for decentralized architectures and peer‑to‑peer technologies.
• Experience or solid knowledge of Kademlia Distributed Hash Tables.
• Understanding of distributed indexing, CRDTs, and decentralized data structures.
