Specialist - Project Control

About the role

The Specialist – Project Control is responsible for providing accurate Total Installed Cost (TIC) estimates, monitoring project expenditures, and ensuring that budgets align with approved plans. You will work closely with engineering and construction teams to maintain cost integrity throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and structure TIC estimates, applying appropriate cost coding and work breakdown structures.
• Write comprehensive basis of estimates, including scope of work, equipment pricing, and material take‑offs.
• Facilitate estimate review meetings and maintain approved estimate documentation.
• Analyze cost and schedule variances, communicate findings, and propose mitigation plans.
• Implement project coding structures and coordinate rules of credit for accurate progress measurement.
• Compare estimates with actuals, adjust rates for future projects, and maintain a historical cost database.
• Assist project engineers with scope change estimates, financial close‑out, and lessons‑learned entry.
• Participate in weekly project meetings, reporting budget status, forecasts, and overruns.
• Adhere to environmental, health, safety, and quality policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in project cost estimating or control.
