Specialist Quality Assurance – Inspection

About the role

Wood is seeking a Specialist Quality Assurance (Inspection) to support its large‑scale oil, gas and infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia. The role will lead a team of QA engineers, ensuring that project guidelines, contracts and procedures are correctly applied.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of Quality Assurance Engineers to enforce project guidelines and contracts.
• Coordinate and perform quality audits on work processes and contract procedures.
• Develop, implement and assure the Quality Assurance Programme, including procedures and guidelines.
• Monitor compliance, resolve engineering and design complaints, and conduct root‑cause analysis for corrective actions.
• Facilitate design readiness reviews and value‑improvement workshops prior to critical milestones.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of commercial and QA/QC experience in oil/gas, hydrocarbon, refinery, offshore or infrastructure projects.
• Degree or diploma in Quality Management or a related discipline.
• Relevant inspection certifications (e.g., PCN, CSWIP, NACE) – essential.
• Membership of CQI, ASQ or equivalent body – desirable.
• Quality auditor qualification and radiographic interpretation certificate (for piping welding inspectors) – desirable.
• Comprehensive understanding of ISO 9001 and international codes and standards.
