Staff Manufacturing Engineer (Battery & Electronics)

About the role

Lucid is seeking a Staff Manufacturing Engineer to lead the design and implementation of powertrain battery and electronics equipment. The role will partner with logistics, manufacturing operations, facilities, product engineering and new‑product introduction teams to ensure equipment is correctly engineered, installed and ready for line launches.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical efforts for complex equipment engineering projects.
• Develop manufacturing processes and procure items for powertrain line readiness.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally on equipment specification, design and installation.
• Guide projects from concept through launch, implementing engineering solutions based on product design changes.
• Apply analytical problem‑solving methods such as 8D, Six Sigma and DOE.
• Use 3D modeling and simulation to validate equipment designs.
• Work with layout engineering to optimize powertrain line layouts.
• Design and integrate robotics, end‑of‑arm tooling, pick‑and‑place automation, vision systems, material handling, fluid dispensing, laser cleaning and metrology equipment.
• Support battery line operations including enclosure, pack, module assembly, GD&T, CMM, leak testing, adhesive dispensing, Hipot testing, AGVs, ASRS, laser welding and HV/LV testing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Electronics) or Communications.
• Proven experience designing and deploying powertrain manufacturing equipment.
• Strong ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and manage equipment projects end‑to‑end.
