Stock Controller – Warehouse & Inventory Management

About the role

The Stock Controller is responsible for overseeing the complete flow of inventory between warehouses, stores, and inter‑store locations. The role ensures accurate recording of movements, reduces discrepancies, and supports efficient replenishment and loss‑prevention processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage stock transfers from warehouse to store, between stores, and back to the warehouse, ensuring all movements are recorded and updated.
• Lead warehouse audits, stock counts, discrepancy investigations, and resolution procedures.
• Provide regular updates on deliveries, stock levels, pending orders, and claims for damaged or short‑filled merchandise.
• Adjust defective stock items according to company policy.
• Prepare and communicate the annual stock‑take calendar in collaboration with Operations and Store Managers, and mobilise resources for physical stock counts.
• Oversee physical stock‑take execution, monitor compliance with policies, and reconcile results with finance and operations teams.
• Generate reports on findings, offering recommendations to improve inventory accuracy.
• Implement and monitor stock‑loss action plans derived from stock‑count results.
• Coordinate shipment processes with EZ in Italy and logistics partners to ensure timely store deliveries.
• Guide, train, and motivate staff, fostering their development and performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in stock control, inventory management, or warehouse operations.
• Strong analytical abilities to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Excellent coordination skills for working with logistics providers and internal teams.
• Leadership capability to train and motivate staff members.
