Stock Coordinator

About the role

The Stock Coordinator ensures that merchandise is received, inspected, stored and issued efficiently within a retail environment, supporting sales staff and maintaining inventory accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Receive merchandise and perform physical and electronic counts to verify accuracy.
• Inspect product quality and report any damaged items to the store manager or assistant manager.
• Classify and stock items in the stockroom according to store procedures for quick retrieval.
• Tag newly arrived stock and process returns as instructed by senior staff.
• Assist sales staff in replenishing shelves to maintain product availability.
• Monitor store security and uphold housekeeping standards at all times.
• Record inward and outward inventory movements and maintain related reports.
• Check for missing price tags and report discrepancies.
• Participate in stock‑take processes and assist with heavy lifting of items weighing at least 10 kg.
• Remain flexible to work extended hours during sales or festival periods.

Required profile

• Physically fit with ability to lift a minimum of 10 kg repeatedly.
• Attention to detail and vigilance regarding product quality and security.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including extended periods during peak sales events.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Team‑oriented mindset to support sales staff and store management.
