Storage Backup Administrator

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Storage & Backup Administrator to join our IT Infrastructure team. The role involves managing enterprise storage environments, backup and recovery operations, and ensuring data protection and disaster recovery for business‑critical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain SAN, NAS, and DAS storage environments, monitor capacity, performance and health, and perform provisioning, zoning and LUN management.
• Manage enterprise backup solutions such as Veeam, conduct monitoring, validation, troubleshooting and regular recovery drills.
• Troubleshoot storage and backup incidents, coordinate with vendors and MSPs, and participate in root‑cause analysis.
• Ensure compliance with data protection, encryption policies and regulatory retention requirements.
• Document storage and backup configurations, generate utilization and performance reports, and support audit activities.
• Contribute to projects including storage expansion, data migration and cloud integration, providing technical expertise for vendor assessments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of hands‑on experience in enterprise storage and backup administration.
• Strong experience with Dell EMC and HPE storage platforms.
• Expertise in backup technologies, disaster‑recovery planning and execution.
• Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper‑V.
• Familiarity with cloud storage services on Microsoft Azure and AWS.
