Store Keeper – Inventory Management Specialist

About the role

The Store Keeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring timely receipt and dispatch of materials, and supporting operational continuity across the facility. This position works closely with maintenance, operations, and procurement teams to keep stock levels optimal.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain precise records of all incoming and outgoing inventory items in the inventory management system.
• Conduct regular stock counts, audits, and reconcile discrepancies.
• Oversee receipt, inspection, and proper storage of materials, equipment, and spare parts.
• Organize the storage area for optimal space utilization and easy accessibility.
• Prepare requisitions based on inventory levels and coordinate purchase orders with the Supply Chain Officer.
• Monitor stock levels, recommend re‑ordering, and manage surplus or obsolete inventory.
• Generate reports on inventory levels, valuations, and transaction histories.
• Follow health, safety, and environmental protocols for material handling and storage.
• Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to resolve delivery or quality issues.
• Identify and propose improvements to inventory processes.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (required); diploma or degree in supply chain management, logistics, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in storekeeping or inventory management, preferably in an industrial or power‑generation environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with inventory management software.
• Strong command of MS Office applications.
