Store Operative – Stock Count Specialist

About the role

The Store Operative will support accurate inventory management by conducting stock counts in a fast‑paced retail environment. Working closely with the store team, you will ensure that every item is correctly scanned and recorded.

Key responsibilities

• Follow all relevant stock count policies, processes and standard operating procedures to maintain controlled and consistent work.
• Accurately scan each individual item, perform check/re‑check of counts, and highlight any issues that could affect accuracy.
• Escalate complex problems to the supervisor to ensure timely resolution.
• Collect and account for scanners, cradles, and all accessories before leaving the store premises.
• Cooperate with team members to complete the stock count efficiently.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a stockroom operative in retail, preferably fashion.
• Ability to work under close supervision while adhering to detailed procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and proactive in identifying concerns that may impact count results.
