Storekeeper – Hospitality & Restaurant Operations

About the role

The Storekeeper ensures efficient receipt, storage, issuance, and control of all inventory items supporting the company's hospitality, banqueting, and restaurant operations. The role maintains accurate stock levels, up‑to‑date records, and timely availability of materials while minimizing waste.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Organise and store items in designated locations, following proper storage and safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate inventory records in the management system and monitor stock levels.
• Issue supplies, food ingredients, beverages, and operational materials to departments based on approved requisitions, ensuring FIFO/FEFO practices.
• Conduct daily, weekly and monthly stock counts and assist with periodic inventory audits.
• Investigate variances, report findings, and coordinate disposal or return of expired items.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, temperature control, and hygiene standards in storage areas.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Finance, Kitchen, Banquet and Restaurant teams and prepare inventory and variance reports.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; inventory or warehouse certification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of storekeeping experience in hospitality, hotels, catering, banqueting or restaurant settings.
• Understanding of food safety, storage procedures and stock‑control methods.
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing and speaking).
• Valid driving licence and ability to operate company vehicles when required.

Required skills

• Knowledge of inventory management systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
