Structural Draftsman

About the role

House of Consulting Office (HCO) is seeking an experienced Structural Draftsman to join its multidisciplinary team in Khobar, Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on producing high‑quality structural drawings and BIM models that meet project specifications, engineering standards, and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver accurate structural drawings and BIM models from concept through IFC stages.
• Collaborate with structural engineers and multidisciplinary teams to develop, coordinate, and review design documents.
• Apply and maintain BIM standards, protocols, and templates according to the project BIM Execution Plan.
• Incorporate feedback, redlines, and mark‑ups from engineers promptly.
• Conduct clash detection and coordinate with architectural, MEP, and other discipline models using Revit and Navisworks.
• Maintain drawing registers and ensure timely submission of deliverables.
• Participate in internal reviews and coordination meetings.
• Stay updated on new drafting and BIM technologies and promote their adoption.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
• 6–10 years of proven experience as a Structural Draftsman in a design office.
• Strong understanding of structural detailing, design documentation, and construction practices.
• Familiarity with international and Saudi local codes and standards (e.g., ACI, BS, SBC).
• Ability to read, interpret, and implement structural calculations.
