Structural Engineer – Design Services

About the role

Parsons is seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join its Design Services team. You will work on major heavy civil and infrastructure projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe and innovative structural solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Review project standards, specifications, drawings and technical documents to ensure alignment with objectives.
• Evaluate design‑build submissions, calculations, design reports and operating manuals for compliance.
• Support Lead Civil Engineer and Senior Structural Engineers in preparing technical reports, investigations and root‑cause analyses.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of design and engineering activities.
• Attend inspections, testing and acceptance activities, and respond to RFIs related to structural matters.
• Provide on‑site technical support, resolve design issues and recommend practical engineering solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in engineering design and construction of major heavy civil or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of geotechnical principles, foundation design and structural mechanics.
• Proven ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and manage project budgets and schedules.
