Structures Technician (Secret Clearance)

About the role

The Structures Technician provides system‑level expertise and field support for facility condition assessments, inventory accuracy, and sustainment requirements development at Prince Sultan Air Base. This position supports the Air Force’s Engineering Support Services and contributes to the BIAT function and SMS BUILDER data quality initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Support Sub‑AMP asset visibility and requirements development for structural portfolios.
• Conduct and document condition assessments using SMS BUILDER standards and the 9‑point rating method.
• Assist with inventory creation, updates, and correction of discrepancies, including facilities lacking RPUIDs.
• Execute data quality tasks and support QA‑15A/QA‑15B discrepancy resolution workflows.
• Participate in quarterly Sub‑AMP working groups, providing input on risk‑based maintenance strategy.
• Coordinate with Operations Flight shops and SMEs to align preventive and corrective maintenance planning.
• Reconcile RP/RPIE inventory discrepancies between SMS and base records.
• Provide system‑level inputs to AMP Managers for investment planning and execution.

Required profile

• U.S. citizen with a valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Current U.S. passport book with at least 13 months validity and six blank visa/stamp pages.
• Active U.S. SECRET security clearance.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Meets CENTCOM MOD‑15 theater requirements.
• Minimum Air Force 5‑level (or equivalent) and 5+ years of experience in structural engineering support.
