Sustainability & ESG Expert – MENA Region

About the role

Ecoryx, a Saudi‑based sustainability and net‑zero solutions provider, is seeking a seasoned Sustainability & ESG Expert to support high‑impact client engagements across the MENA region. You will work directly on strategy, reporting, carbon accounting and climate risk projects that align with Vision 2030 and regional ESG agendas.

Key responsibilities

• Support client engagements across sustainability disciplines such as strategy development, ESG reporting, carbon accounting and climate risk assessment.
• Contribute technical expertise to proposals, methodologies and deliverables, ensuring rigor and consistency.
• Research and analyse ESG regulations, standards and market developments relevant to Saudi Arabia and the wider MENA region.
• Apply CBAM (Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism) reporting requirements and support carbon footprint assessments using GHG Protocol methodologies.
• Develop Net Zero strategies and deliver training or capacity‑building workshops for client teams.
• Prepare subject‑matter input for presentations, workshops and stakeholder engagements.

Required profile

• Minimum 5–7 years of professional experience in sustainability, ESG or a closely related field.
• Direct experience with ESG regulations and reporting requirements in Saudi Arabia and/or the GCC.
• Familiarity with regional regulatory bodies and disclosure expectations (e.g., Tadawul ESG guidelines, CMA requirements).
• Experience designing or delivering sustainability training programmes.
• Background in consulting firms, multilateral organisations or development finance institutions is preferred.
