Sustainability Manager

About the role

The Sustainability Manager will lead ARO Drilling’s environmental and ESG initiatives, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and Saudi regulatory frameworks. This senior role drives continuous improvement, stakeholder engagement, and transparent reporting across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sustainability plans that align short‑ and mid‑term departmental goals with corporate targets.
• Design and implement comprehensive sustainability initiatives, ensuring compliance with local and international environmental regulations.
• Monitor, analyse and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for sustainability and operational performance.
• Establish and maintain policies, procedures and controls to mitigate regulatory and operational risks.
• Promote a culture of sustainability through awareness campaigns, training sessions and stakeholder engagement.
• Lead continuous‑improvement projects, applying international best practices to enhance systems and processes.
• Oversee ESG reporting, preparing annual reports in line with GRI, SASB and other frameworks.
• Coordinate data collection, validation and analysis for sustainability metrics.
• Collaborate with clients, regulators and certifying bodies to ensure compliance with environmental and social requirements.
• Provide sustainability input for rig design, procurement and operational decisions, evaluating emerging technologies.

Required profile

• Minimum 120 months (10 years) of experience in sustainability, ESG reporting and regulatory compliance.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and engage stakeholders at all organisational levels.
• Strong knowledge of international sustainability frameworks (GRI, SASB) and Saudi green initiatives.
