System Administrator – Microsoft & VMware Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an experienced System Administrator to join our Riyadh team. The role involves managing Microsoft server environments and enterprise applications to ensure high availability, security, and optimal performance of the IT infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and maintain Microsoft Windows Server (2008/2012/2016/2019), including installation, patching, upgrades, and hardening.
• Manage and support enterprise applications on Microsoft server platforms, meeting agreed SLAs.
• Maintain Active Directory, user/group management, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and domain trusts.
• Administer Microsoft Exchange, handling mailbox administration, mail flow, database management, and troubleshooting.
• Manage VMware virtualization infrastructure (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter) – VM provisioning, resource management, snapshots, and performance monitoring.
• Oversee enterprise backup and recovery using EMC Networker – scheduling, monitoring, restore testing, and media management.
• Operate SCCM for software deployment, patch management, OS imaging, and endpoint compliance.
• Maintain anti‑virus server infrastructure – policy configuration, definition updates, threat monitoring, and incident response.
• Perform proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and root‑cause analysis of server, application, and infrastructure issues.
• Respond to incidents and service requests within defined SLAs and escalate complex issues as needed.
• Maintain accurate system documentation, including configurations, procedures, and change records.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution.
• Support infrastructure projects such as migrations, upgrades, and new deployments.
• Ensure compliance with organizational IT security policies and standards.

Required profile

• Saudi national (mandatory).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 4–8 years of hands‑on system administration experience in an enterprise environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities under pressure.
