System Administrator (Remote)

About the role

This full-time remote System Administrator role is responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and securing APTWatch’s IT infrastructure. The System Administrator will manage servers and operating systems, perform regular updates and patches, and ensure system reliability and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, monitor, and secure the company’s IT infrastructure, including servers and operating systems.
• Perform regular updates, patches, and performance optimizations to ensure reliability.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide support to internal teams.
• Oversee network administration tasks such as configuration, access control, and performance monitoring.
• Implement backup, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity best practices, and document procedures.
• Collaborate with engineering and security teams on new deployments and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Strong system administration experience with server management and OS configuration.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and technical support for complex IT issues.
• Experience in network administration, including configuration, monitoring, and security controls.
• Solid foundation in IT infrastructure, security best practices, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies and automation/scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience; relevant certifications are a plus.
