System Administrator – Virtualization & Server Infrastructure

About the role

We are hiring an experienced System Administrator for our client in Khobar, Saudi Arabia to manage the day‑to‑day operations, availability, and health of a critical virtualization and server environment. The role supports key enterprise systems such as SIEM, Active Directory, and an EDR environment with roughly 250 servers.

Key responsibilities

• Administer VMware vSphere/vCenter clusters – host health, resource pools, vMotion, snapshots, capacity planning.
• Manage Nutanix HCI clusters via Prism – node health, storage pools, replication, firmware upgrades, DR.
• Maintain Windows Server infrastructure, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Administer Linux servers (Ubuntu, SUSE) and handle storage/LVM.
• Ensure High Availability across VMware, Nutanix, and Windows Failover Clustering.
• Perform scheduled failover testing and maintain documentation.
• Coordinate server patching within agreed maintenance windows.
• Support Commvault backup operations, agent health, snapshot consistency, and restore testing.
• Provision and de‑commission servers/VMs with proper privileged‑access controls.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience managing enterprise virtualization and server infrastructure.
• Familiarity with SIEM, Active Directory, and large‑scale EDR environments.

Required skills

• VMware vSphere / vCenter (VCP‑DCV or equivalent).
• Nutanix AHV / Prism Central (NCP‑MCI preferred).
• Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy.
• Linux administration – Ubuntu & SUSE.
• Shell scripting, storage & LVM.
• Clustering, High Availability, failover validation.
• BeyondTrust PAM, Cisco Duo MFA, Infoblox BloxOne.
• Commvault backup and restore operations.
