Technical Director - High-Rise Construction

About the role

KEO, an AEP/PMCM firm recognised as one of the top international design firms, is looking for an experienced Technical Director to lead the technical side of a large-scale high-rise construction project in Riyadh. The role covers structural engineering and façade design, from concept and detailed design through to construction and completion.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic and technical leadership across structural engineering and façade design, leading the technical team and lead design consultants
• Oversee architectural and engineering designs, ensuring compliance with client requirements, specifications, contracts, regulations and international standards
• Review structural designs and façade systems for integrity, performance, durability, safety and buildability
• Resolve complex structural and façade challenges and coordinate with architects, consultants, subcontractors and contractors
• Identify technical risks, set up QA/QC procedures and monitor progress against milestones
• Advise clients on technical matters affecting scope, cost, programme, quality and performance
• Mentor the technical team, report to senior management and the client, and chair technical workshops and design reviews

Required profile

• Experience leading technical aspects of large-scale high-rise construction projects
• Ability to work closely with project managers, discipline leads and clients
