Technical Manager

About the role

MARCO is seeking an experienced Technical Manager to lead the design and execution of permanent and temporary works across its operations in Saudi Arabia. You will act as the central point of contact for engineering, design consultants, clients, and authorities, ensuring all technical deliverables meet regulatory and project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee design of permanent and temporary works, ensuring compliance with bid documents and engineering standards.
• Coordinate with design consultants, review drawings, and manage document control for all project documentation.
• Provide engineering solutions, support the project team on technical issues, and liaise with the client’s representative.
• Arrange approvals for materials, certify in‑house and external designs, and ensure alignment with statutory regulations.
• Supervise the in‑house planning section, monitor progress against the contract programme, and develop design schedules that support procurement and construction timelines.
• Manage value engineering processes and act as Design Manager/Temporary Works Design Coordinator when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in construction, with a strong background in design coordination and document control.
• Proven ability to interact with clients, government authorities, consultants, and suppliers.
