Technical Specialist – Dimensional Engineering

About the role

Lucid Motors Middle East is seeking an experienced Technical Specialist in Dimensional Engineering to lead end‑to‑end dimensional activities across the vehicle development lifecycle. The role combines technical expertise with leadership, ensuring vehicle‑level dimensional targets are met from concept through production launch.

Key responsibilities

• Define, collect and integrate dimensional targets into product, process and tooling designs.
• Validate component and assembly locating strategies to achieve vehicle‑level dimensional objectives.
• Partner with Manufacturing Engineering to develop robust tooling concepts supporting dimensional quality.
• Lead validation of dimensional simulation models using 3DCS.
• Develop, validate and implement GD&T requirements and optimize GD&T schemes for components and assemblies.
• Oversee gaging and measurement strategies for prototype and production phases.
• Drive cross‑functional reviews to identify dimensional risks and recommend design, process, tooling and manufacturing improvements.
• Lead root‑cause investigations and resolution for dimensional issues during prototype builds, launch and production.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in Dimensional Engineering, with end‑to‑end involvement on at least five vehicle programs.
• Proven leadership in vehicle‑level dimensional engineering activities and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Strong understanding of automotive system and subsystem dimensional requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop dimensional engineers.
