Telecoms Technician

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Telecoms Technician to join our team in Khobar. You will be responsible for maintaining and installing telecommunications equipment, ensuring high service reliability for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on telecom equipment to minimise downtime.
• Install and configure telecom systems and devices, integrating them with existing infrastructure.
• Conduct regular inspections of network components and proactively identify potential issues.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on system upgrades and enhancements.
• Develop and update technical documentation and user manuals.
• Provide technical support to customers and internal teams, ensuring timely issue resolution.
• Monitor network performance metrics and recommend improvements.
• Participate in training sessions to stay current with industry best practices.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory compliance standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in telecom equipment installation, wiring/termination and DC cabling.
• Ability to work with sensitive fiber‑optic equipment such as MPLS‑TP and associated ancillary gear.
• Proficient at interpreting design drawings and diagrams.
• Strong commitment to work quality, safety procedures and compliance, especially in Saudi Energy restricted areas.
• Flexibility to adapt to diverse work environments and collaborate with multicultural teams.

• Installation/erection of telecom equipment and cabinets.
• Wiring, termination and DC cabling.
• Fiber‑optic equipment handling (MPLS‑TP, fiber optic panels).
• DC panels, IT equipment integration.
• Reading and applying technical design drawings.
