Testing & Commissioning Area Lead – Controls

About the role

The Testing & Commissioning (T&C) Area Lead for Controls will support the Riyadh Expo 2030 infrastructure program, overseeing testing, commissioning, operations and hand‑over of control systems. The role works closely with consultants, contractors, client representatives and regulatory bodies to ensure safety, quality and schedule compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise contractor personnel and coordinate interface testing for control systems.
• Review and approve testing documentation, procedures, records and system test reports.
• Prepare design change and non‑conformance documents to capture as‑built conditions.
• Develop and review detailed CSU plans and update project schedules.
• Participate in system hand‑over walk‑downs and ensure proper turnover of documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or scientific discipline (or equivalent professional license) and 8‑10 years of relevant experience.
• Extensive progressive experience in heavy‑industry or MEP testing & commissioning, with proven supervisory/leadership capability.
• Ability to obtain and retain the right to work in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Bechtel tools such as Aconex and ACC.
• Technical knowledge of control system testing, startup, operation, maintenance and MEP building services (electrical distribution, fire alarm, communications, BMS, TVS, CCTV, PA, access control).
