Tourism & Hospitality Development Director

About the role

The Tourism & Hospitality Development Director will lead the strategic design and execution of hospitality asset programmes that support Saudi Vision 2030. Based in Riyadh and working in a hybrid model, the role reports to the Strategy & Development function and carries full P&L responsibility.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive master‑planning, feasibility studies and public‑private partnership models for large‑scale tourism projects.
• Negotiate and close complex commercial agreements with government bodies, international hotel brands and private investors.
• Oversee a pipeline of hospitality assets, ensuring alignment with ESG standards and green certifications such as LEED or Green Globe.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team, providing vision, mentorship and performance management.
• Implement smart‑tourism solutions, visitor analytics and digital platforms for data‑driven destination management.

Required profile

• Deep knowledge of Saudi regulatory, land‑use and permitting processes with established government relationships.
• Proven experience structuring large‑scale project financing, including Islamic finance instruments (sukuk) and investor syndication.
• Track record in sustainable, regenerative tourism development and cultural‑heritage‑led product creation.
• Experience engaging local communities and delivering ESG‑aligned outcomes.
• Familiarity with Saudi Vision 2030 tourism initiatives or giga‑projects (e.g., NEOM, Red Sea Project) is a plus.
