Training Operations Section Head – HR

About the role

Maaden is seeking a Training Operations Section Head to lead end‑to‑end training delivery and workforce readiness for its Aluminum business in Ras Al Khair and Al Ba’itha. The role ensures training plans are executable, audit‑ready, and aligned with operational priorities, safety requirements, and Career Management governance.

Key responsibilities

• Translate Career Management and business unit workforce requirements into an annual and rolling training execution plan covering operational, technical, leadership, compliance, and qualification programs.
• Own governance of training operations, including intake, nominations, approvals, scheduling, delivery, attendance validation, and record keeping.
• Set SOPs, service‑level expectations, and execution rhythms for the Training Operations team.
• Manage mandatory EHSS training compliance, oversee the training matrix, and escalate high‑risk non‑compliance.
• Govern assessment systems, question banks, exam integrity, and lifecycle standards.
• Develop training analytics, dashboards, KPI definitions, and reporting packs for leadership.
• Enable operations by providing standards, tools, and governance for on‑the‑job training, practical verification, and safety‑critical approvals.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading training operations or similar functions within a large industrial or mining environment.
• Strong understanding of EHSS and mandatory training compliance.
• Ability to translate strategic workforce needs into detailed execution plans.
• Experience with assessment governance and training analytics.
• Leadership skills to set standards, manage a team, and interface with operations.
